Stunning Views at a Wedding in Crested Butte, Colorado

Ever since Lauren and Davey became a couple, their parents knew this time it was something real. They weren’t wrong. Now they all gathered with the extended families and friends to celebrate the love that has matured and blossomed into a beautiful, enduring relationship.

Held under the clear sky, surrounded by beautiful, mountainous landscapes. This amazing ceremony at the Crested Butte will surely be remembered by all who witnessed it.

The stunning views from the ceremony site

With so many weddings being organised with grandeur and splendor as the main themes, it’s becoming easier to forget what the ceremonies really stand for. Only in the calm, peaceful environment of nature can the participants focus on what brought them together on this special day. Lauren and Davey knew this very well. Instead of going for fancy chapels and big parties, they chose Crested Butte – a small, inconspicuous town in Gunnison County, Colorado. During the winter it’s a popular ski resort. In the summer the weather gets milder and the area more quiet, and it becomes possible to organize weddings at the resort. The small town offers many locations boasting breathtaking views on the surrounding mountains. The unusual wedding could come true with the help of the Sweetly Paired Wedding Planners team, who specialize in helping couples organize their events in the remote mountains of Colorado.

On the day Lauren and Davey were about to take their vows, the weather was perfect. It seemed as though nature itself has approved of the young couple’s union and provided a stunning backdrop of clear skies and green woods as a gift. The guests gathered on a hillside meadow overlooking the valley and peaks of Crested Butte. Under an arch of delightful flowers, the newlyweds pronounced their love and loyalty, thus becoming a husband and a wife.

With so much free space available comes big potential. The newlyweds and their friends were free to go beyond the scope of a regular ceremony and enjoy a quick game of baseball before moving on to further formalities.

The reception took part in tepee style tents. It was a one-of-a-kind celebration beneath the firmament. Provided by Under the Sky Rentals, the tents accommodated exquisitely decorated, traditional wooden tables, where the guests could enjoy the wedding dinner. The bride’s father gave an inspiring speech describing the lasting relationship he enjoyed with Lauren’s mother. A toast was made for the newly conceived marriage to be as successful, and the reception ensued. It lasted until the late hours of the evening. At night the sky lit up with myriad stars, as the Milky Way made itself visible, far from the light pollution of big cities.

The fields and meadows of Colorado made for some stunning shots during the couple’s wedding photography session. Tranquil and removed from the hustle of the daily life, the natural scenery was the perfect choice for a wedding like no other. The day Lauren and Davey formed their marriage is certain to be remembered by them and their guests. Hopefully, their love will last a lifetime and stand as steadfast as the mountains of Crested Butt, Colorado.
