A Different Type of Wedding Videographer

Wedding Videography is important!  Whether locally or a destination wedding.  Maybe more important that you might think.  We work hard to create beautiful films produced in a modern, cinematic style. Hiring a wedding videographer is not an easy process. We try to make it easier for you to shop and make a good decision by showing you the real value of having a wedding film that tells your story. Watch our wedding style reel, and if you connect with our style of wedding videography, I hope we can talk about how we can capture the spirit of your wedding, to share and enjoy over the years.

The couples that book us for their wedding video agree, hiring a quality wedding videographer to capture their wedding day in the highest quality possible, was the best money they spent.

We create your film to make you fall in love over and over.  Check and see if your date is available.

My Wedding Video Philosophy

Your wedding will be one of the most important events of your life. My cinematic approach to wedding film making help you remember exactly how it feels to marry the love of your life, even 30 or 40 years later.

We don’t cut corners and we don’t want to just get pretty pictures put to music.  When you watch one of our films, you connect to the couple, the family and the location.  I know it stands out to  you, I think it will.

Everyone has a different relationship type, a different story to be told.  I film your wedding like it’s the only wedding I’ll ever film.  I film it with as much love, attention to detail and passion as I would my own wedding, if I could somehow do that.  When you watch out style video, you’ll be able to easily see how we connect with families and tell detailed, unique stories of love and life.

After talking to many different couples, and creating films for all walks of life, I have a wedding style and business structure to make this type of quality wedding video accessible to everyone, and make sure every couple feels included.

When I come in the day of your wedding to create a lasting memory that your grandchildren will one day watch, I want you to know exactly what my philosophy is, and have complete and utter confidence that I’m now in charge of capturing this most important event with video. I never take that responsibility for granted.

Candid Videography Style:

I film weddings as candidly as possible.  This is your day to enjoy!  After months or years of planning, you can just take in the moments and not have to worry about the little things.  We film in a manner that doesn’t interrupt or change the flow of your wedding day at all.  We work hard to make sure the photographer can get their best shots without battling with our style. We try not to shoot with distracting lights, or intrusive equipment, and you actually won’t notice us much as all.  Many couples are surprised by the shots we get, because they didn’t notice us as much as they thought they would.  We work great with photographers to ensure you get the best photos and video.  That’s when I know we’re doing it correctly.

It is my goal to create a wedding film that you’ll be able to enjoy over and over again, and that will bring you the same feelings decades from now as you felt when you first got engaged, and when you first looked into each others’ eyes and said I do.

Common Questions When Shopping for a Videographer

  1. What’s the videographer’s style — cinematic, documentary,  a music montage?  (Then ask yourselves: Does this jibe with what we’re going for?)
A: Well, I shoot with a primary focus on cinematic wedding film making.  Cinematic means that it’s highly edited, and very stylized like a film. We use everything we can to make every single shot beautiful, but most importantly we use a ton of audio and dialog from the day to tell a heartfelt story.  Other videographers concentrate on pretty images set to music.
  2. Has the videographer done many weddings before? What’s his storytelling approach when it comes to filming a wedding? (This clues you in to his experience and philosophy.) Ask to view samples of his recent work.
A: I am a very experienced film maker and wedding videographer.  I already have a philosophy page, so you can check that out to see what my goals and vision is when it comes to making good wedding films.  Our style is to make a film that anyone can watch, regardless of if you know the couple, and they can connect and feel the spirit of the day.  And feel free to review my gallery to see some of the recent wedding films.
  3. How does he coordinate with a wedding photographer? Has the videographer worked with your photographer before?
A: I have worked with many photographers.  The way I create wedding films is a very non intrusive way, and I capture moments candidly.  We use many angles, and we set the cameras WAY back so your photographer can work without being bothered by cameras in the shot.  Many photographers refer us simply based on how easy we make their job.
  4. Has he ever shot a wedding at your ceremony or reception site? If so, can you see the video?
A: Since we’ve been filming weddings for so long, odds are we’ve been at your venue before, and know how to get along with the manager and get the best shots without feeling rushed.
  5. How many other weddings is the videographer shooting on your wedding day or weekend? (Make sure there are no time constraints.)
A: I don’t ever schedule weddings in the same day, and rarely on the same weekend.  I make sure I take the time to film your wedding day like it is the only one I’ll ever film in my life.  Your wedding film is as important to me, as it will be to you.
  6. Will the videographer you’re speaking to be the one who will be shooting your wedding? If not, make sure you speak to whomever will actually shoot.
A: Absolutely I’ll be the one filming the event.  That’s why my name is on the sign out front! I do though, often use additional videographers to help on busy days, but I will always be the primary cinematographer. Be sure when you’re shopping for companies that they aren’t hiring last minute help to fill in calendar dates.  This can very drastically affect your film quality.
  7. What types of cameras, tapes, and microphones will the videographer use? How new is the equipment? Ask her to explain how certain effects are achieved and to outline the benefit of using certain technologies. You may not catch all the techno-speak, but it helps to have a sense of what’s what.
A: I don’t need to go off about what type of equipment is used on film shoots, just take a look at the gallery and see the quality.  I use top quality equipment and shoot with the highest quality cameras in the industry.  Every shot will be sharp, and beautiful.   Of course I do also use wireless microphones to capture vows and speeches, which is very important.
  8. How bright of a light do they use? (If shooting requires the room lights to be on all evening, much of the romance and ambiance of your event may be lost.)
A: Although I have a few additional lights, I typically don’t need to use them.  My low-light sensitive equipment captures great video quality without the need of harsh distracting lights.  In some cases, lights may be needed for speeches.  Be assured that the video will capture the event, just as you remember seeing it.
  9. Will a backup camera be on hand for the event?
A: It is always important for me to shoot with multiple cameras to capture all the important angles of the ceremony.
  10. How does the videographer charge for services? Are there packages? Request a price list.
A: We have a full range of wedding film packages to choose from.  There are also many add-ons you can customize your package with.  Also, I always work with couples when they need to separate payments or pay over time.  Contact me for details.
